Part of My Life
Being a normal not-highly-paid-but-enough-to-live person, in this busy city country, a big part of my life is spent in public transport, the MRT and the buses. Cars are just too expensive to own.
It's weekend. Part of my weekend life is to go out to town to meet the Man after his half day work, and have lunch in the town. But today's weather was just simply killing both of us, we decided to head back home!
The scene of empty feeder bus 941 can only be seen on weekends afternoon. On weekdays, it's packed like a can of sardine!
I brought along my new toy, so, snap :)

Silly Self Portrait
I occasionally follow Digital Photography School (DPS) blog. There's a weekly challenge for the followers to play with. I don't normally follow simply because I'm too lazy to think of good idea.
However, since I've just got a new toy recently. I decided to play along. It's a Self Portrait week. My sister's friend once said, taking self portrait with DSLR is really silly. I have to admit, that I agree with that statement. But well, it's not harm to be silly once in a while.
I'm a happy MacBook owner =)
No self portrait of me is complete without a picture of me sticking out my tongue. That's my signature expression.

Kan Nichi Kan (KNK) Korean BBQ
Last weekend we celebrated be-earlied mother's day in KNK Korean BBQ Restaurant, one of my Mom's favourite eat out place in Penang Island.
Instead of visiting the original shop in Tanjong Tokong, we visited the new branch new Queensbay. Well, I think they are equally nice and delicious!

We ordered a Wagyu beef set (consists of different parts of Wagyu beef, Gyu tataki and Kobe beef), Gyutan (tongue), Kimchi pancake, fried garlic, and pork. The beef were so good, they melt in your mouth!

The best is always saved for last, Kobe!
The set cost RM286 before tax, which to me wasn't too bad for the quality of the beef. With all the add-ons we've ordered on top of the set, the bill came up to be over RM400 after tax. It was not a cheap meal, but for the quality of food, I would say it's not too bad.

母亲节快乐!
About Persistency
The Man loves to eat stew food. And he had always been wanted to cook his own mussels.
Lately, he found some simple recipe from the internet. And all he needs is mussels. Bought some from Cold Storage today, and he can't wait to play with them in the kitchen.

Trust me, when the Man cooks, I am more than happy to just walk around and do nothing. But in this case today, I prepared some finger food. My new found love, baguette to go with the French canned food I bought from my Europe trip last year and smoked Salmon. And we decided to try the Champagne that had been around the house for almost half a year. Not fantastic though.

Mussels with White Wine soup
It's such a waste that the dish wasn't good because the mussels were not fresh enough. And green mussels are not as good too! The Man wanted to try more, but now, the bigger problem is, where to get fresh black mussels?
Anyway, I'm still happy to have weekend :)
We're hoping to have party with mussels dish when he perfected the recipe >.<
