We arrived at Survanabhumi Airport around 12.30pm. After clearing the customs and collecting our luggages, we took a cab running by meter (this is important) to go
Eastin Hotel and Spa. The 4 star hotel was having a promotion when I booked, 2 nights get 1 free. What a good deal!
This is the first time I'm served with super good service in hotel. When we arrived at the hotel by cab, the bell boy came out to welcomed us and helped us with all of the luggages. Though the hotel was very very well decorated, I would describe the hotel as "在垃圾堆里的四星级酒店", simply because of the surroundings of the hotel. Use your imagination.
We reached the hotel before the check-in time. So we're just sitting around at the lobby lounge to drink the complimentary drink provided by the hotel. Of course, I can't help to take photos around.

After checking in (I just realized I never took photos of my room), we can't wait to get out and get dirty(literary). We walked from our hotel to Pratunam area. The distance wasn't too far, we should be able to reach within 15mins. But we took ages, because we ate a lot of street food. From BBQ banana, to squids, to pork sausages etc. And we also managed to book a day tour to Floating Market + Tiger Temple for our 3rd day.

One very interesting fact about Bangkok, is they pray everywhere and anywhere you can think of, and you can't think of! This is the first one I spotted in front of BIG C (something like our TESCO). There were many many more that I didn't take photos of them.

Another interesting fact of their praying behaviour, they pray everything and anything you can think of. Some animal patung, the normal "zhao cai mao" that we see day in and out, some ang moh type of patung etc. And they even pray with red roses!!! Interesting eh?
As we eat and walk, we finally took a Skytrain to MBK at National Stadium Station. I wouldn't say MBK is a very nice place to shop. Things are not too cheap, but I still manage to get a pair of shoes. And again, we ate there too.
After MBK, we went to Suan Lum night bazaar. Things are not too cheap here as well, but you can bargain a lot. Besides, t-shirts that you find in Suan Lum can't be found in other places. That's very good! We ate our first Tom Yam Kung here in Suan Lum. I like Suan Lum a lot.
