 It's interesting how small little changes can change the picture, I'm loving it :)

It's always one of the favourite time of the year.

We've had our yearly Christmas Party as usual. And this year, I've made a little butter cookies with all the Christmas cookies cutter to give to my friends as a small gift :)

Trying out with Lights

I've always like to take photos next to the huge window in the living room. The diffused lights make the photos a little nicer compared to taking them in the kitchen. I didn't learn any set up because the lights are sufficient, or so I thought.

I have to admit, I committed a crime of buying too many photography books and never really put them into use. The little knowledge that I've learn have always stopped within the pages. So, I decided to read them, and really play with it so I did a little set up. I've wrapped my box with white mahjong papers so that they can act as my cheap reflector.

And so here they are.

I would say the set up help to reduce shadows significantly. But the last one is not to my likings because I think the image looks a bit flat.

I still like my window lights, but it's too late in the afternoon, the lights are getting dim... I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow and play more of it.

Part of My Life

Being a normal not-highly-paid-but-enough-to-live person, in this busy city country, a big part of my life is spent in public transport, the MRT and the buses.  Cars are just too expensive to own.

It's weekend. Part of my weekend life is to go out to town to meet the Man after his half day work, and have lunch in the town. But today's weather was just simply killing both of us, we decided to head back home!

The scene of empty feeder bus 941 can only be seen on weekends afternoon. On weekdays, it's packed like a can of sardine!

I brought along my new toy, so, snap :)

Silly Self Portrait

I occasionally follow Digital Photography School (DPS) blog. There's a weekly challenge for the followers to play with. I don't normally follow simply because I'm too lazy to think of good idea.

However, since I've just got a new toy recently. I decided to play along. It's a Self Portrait week. My sister's friend once said, taking self portrait with DSLR is really silly. I have to admit, that I agree with that statement. But well, it's not harm to be silly once in a while.


I'm a happy MacBook owner =)




No self portrait of me is complete without a picture of me sticking out my tongue. That's my signature expression.

Fisheye Fanatic

Fisheye or not, I really love that my lens can go so much more up close, even closer than the macro lens that my Man has.

I'm literally knocking on the lens hood on my teapot to take this shot, I love it! Even I know this is not the way people use their fisheye lens, I still love it.

Darth Vader

Khoo Siblings have always been huge fans of Star Wars. And we think Darth Vader is the coolest villain of all!

Since it's a lazy Sunday, and I've been telling myself to pick up my camera again for fun things. I decided to take some photos of this new addition Darth Vader of mine. It's a Bobble Head Darth Vader from Ah Beng when I visited San Francisco. How nice!

It's been 3 months since I had this. I moved from Commonwealth to current flat. I've went to Sipadan Island. Now, I finally picked up my camera again :)
